About the Hawaii Memory Project

The Hawaii Memory Project was inspired by the Library of Congress American Memory Project. This site seeks to create a digital record of Hawaii by providing access to primary source materials and through digital storytelling.

Digital Storytelling

Moriso Teraoka's Story was put together with the generous assistance of Moriso Teraoka, who gave us permission to use his unpublished memoir, other writings and photographs. The project team: Moriso Teraoka, Shari Y. Tamashiro, Mary Louise Haraguchi, Jolene Sasaki, Martin Holzgang, Michelle Sturges and Marianne Gouge.
